It is difficult to understand Abstraction. Sometimes because the 'abstract' has too much meaning that complicates it or sometimes because it has no meaning at all. To discriminate between these cases is also very difficult. Say for example the picture above could resemble any of the paintings from the renowned (Art 402 Modern Art) artist William Turner (ART 402 - 'Rain, Steam and Speed') Look at his painting - The evening of the deluge. Even if I called my photograph 'Wind, Light and Speed' - It wouldn't sell for millions of dollars. Though I always found it difficult to appreciate Turner's paintings; nevertheless something about him could impress many others.
So ultimately, if you think you can make sense of something abstract - great !! But while you try hard, remember about the other possibility.
